The mission of the Alaska Humanities Forum is to use the wisdom and methods of the humanities to enrich the civic, intellectual and cultural life of all Alaskans.  Each year Alaskans engage in humanities-based projects supported or presented by the Alaska Humanities Forum through such innovative programs as the Rose Urban Rural Exchange, Leadership Anchorage, Alaska 20/20, and the Grant Program, which helps to fund a variety of ground-breaking humanities projects across the state.
