Congratulations are in order for
all
AK staff! AK's
latest top honors have come from the
Association for Women in
Communications, with a 2007 Clarion Award
for Best Regular Radio Feature Program. The
winning show,
"Five Senses", aired November 18, 2006.
AK
also took a First Place
in the Best News/ Public Affairs
category sponsored by
Public Radio News Directors
Incorporated. AK's
2007 win, is also for the
"Five Senses".
AK producer Jessica Cochran,
Executive Producer Duncan Moon, host Rebecca Sheir and reporter
Ellen Lockyer share in the honors.
The same show took
First Place in this year's
Alaska Press
Club Awards. AK
topped the "Best Ongoing
Public Affairs" category. Also,
kudos to AK host
Rebecca Sheir and to reporters Ellen Lockyer and Bonnie Sue
Hitchcock for individual story awards.
AK has garnered recognition from
PRINDI three years in a row with
First Place wins in 2006 and 2005
for Best News/Public Affairs Program. AK
took a
Second Place in the same category during it's first year on
the air, 2004.
